Antonín Dvořák – String Quintet in G, Op. 77 (1888)

For two violins, viola, and two cellos, this late-romantic quintet bursts with lyrical elegance and structural flair. Dvořák revisits folk motifs while weaving a sophisticated chamber texture, especially in its warm, songful Largo and vivacious finale.

Giacomo Puccini – Crisantemi (1890)

This haunting quartet elegy commemorates the death of Italian nobleman Count Guidobono. Departing from Puccini’s operatic style, Crisantemi is a string quartet in mourning—poignant, lyrical, and deeply restrained.

Alex Cooper – Rhythmic Colors (2025, World premiere)

A new work by local talent Alex Cooper, integrating tonal storytelling and vivid rhythmic themes. Expect an emotional journey told through vibrant, color-inspired sonic textures.

Caroline Shaw – Valencia (2015)

Composed for string quartet, Valencia reflects the circular structures of the Valencia orange, layering rhythmic motifs that evoke the fruit’s unfolding pattern—modern yet deeply rooted in nature.

Camille Saint-Saëns – Septet in E-flat, Op. 65 (1880)

Scored for piano, trumpet, and strings, this piece revives French dance forms (gavotte, minuet) in a chamber music context. Its bright textures and melodic wit display Saint-Saëns’ blend of classical discipline and Romantic charm.
